Discovery+ has slated Restaurant Rivals: Irvine vs. Taffer to debut on Discovery+, with all episodes available to stream on March 3.

The three-episode series sees acclaimed chef Robert Irvine and businessman Jon Taffer use their business acumen to help a pair of struggling restaurants become profitable. Their mission is to create a new menu and improve the restaurant and staff within 24 hours. Each restaurant is judged by a group of guests who dine at both restaurants, and who evaluate them based on factors such as quality of food, atmosphere and service.

Irvine and Taffer share a history of turning around the fortunes of struggling businesses in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Irvine is already well-known to fans of cooking series for his work on Restaurant: Impossible for Food Network, while Taffer is best known for the Paramount Network reality series Bar Rescue.

The series is produced for Discovery+ by The Intellectual Property Corporation, an Industrial Media company.

“Jon and I have been waiting for this show because we both love helping people in this industry who are struggling,” Irvine said in a news release. “To turn that love into a friendly but fierce competition is a no-brainer.”
