Belfast-based Indie prodco Stellify Media, a Sony Pictures Television-owned company, has unveiled a spin-off format from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire…?.

The ITV and ITV Hub series, Fastest Finger First, will offer contestants a guaranteed chance to compete on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire…?, as well as the opportunity to win one million pounds.

The spin-off series was created by Stellify’s joint MDs, Matthew Worthy and Kieran Doherty, and developed in association with Sony Pictures Television. The concept for the series stems from the large amount of applications usually received for the long-running Millionaire quiz show.

The series will expand on the first round of Millionaire, and see five contestants work their way up the question ladder before the two players with the highest score go head-to-head for a seat on the famed quiz show.

Broadcaster Anita Rani will present the new quiz show. Rani is known for her work as a lead presenter on BBC One’s Countryfile and as the host of BBC Radio 4′s Woman’s Hour.
