Netflix has unveiled details on its new music competition series, La Firma (“The Signing”), which seeks to find the next major urban Latin music star.

The show features superstar artists Rauw Alejandro, Yandel and Nicki Nicole along with industry veteran Lex Borrero as its main judges, with record-breaking music producer Tainy serving as a mentor and music producer/supervisor for the competition.

For the very first time, Netflix will hold an open casting call in Spanish throughout Latin America, the U.S. and Spain to find contestants and give them the opportunity to potentially become the next big global superstar.

The series will follow the artists’ journeys as they travel to Miami, with cameras capturing their stories along the way. The winning artist will sign with talent incubator NEON16, founded by Borrero and Tainy.

La Firma was created by Lex Borrero, developed by Howard T. Owens and showrunner Nikki Boella, and produced by Propagate and Ntertain.
