After nine years at British telco Sky, Jane Millichip has chosen to step down from her role as chief content officer of Sky Studios, a job she has held since July 2020.
Previous to her current position, Millichip served as managing director of Sky Vision, Sky’s former production and distribution arm. At Sky Vision, she grew the business from £8m to £250m (US$10.8m to $338.6m) in revenues in just six years, spearheading Sky’s investment into indie production companies and content distribution.
In tandem with this announcement, Sky announced that Caroline Cooper will be expanding her remit as chief operating officer of Sky Studios to take on the company’s broader commercial activities and production operations, including Sky Studios Elstree.
Sky Studios’ business affairs (led by Julian Dexter), international scripted team (Jason Simms), content operations (Bee Devine), and director of corporate development Rob Siegel will all report in to Cooper. She has been with Sky for eight years, working across a range of commercial, strategy and operational roles.
With Millichip’s departure, Sky execs Gabriel Silver, Preethi Mavahalli, Jon Mountague, Nils Hartmann and Rebecca Segal will now report directly to Sky Studios CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz.
