Global factual streaming service and media company Curiosity revealed details of its 2022 slate of original series and feature-length documentaries, including more originals for Curiosity Stream and Curiosity Channel than in previous years.

Curiosity began the year with several new originals in January, including the nature adventure series Evolve, Titans: The Rise of Wall Street and Inside the Mind of a Con Artist, as well as the feature doc Red Elvis: The Cold War Cowboy.

On the way in March is an eight-part science series, Secrets of the Universe, as well as the three-part series Tycoons, which examines the world’s richest entrepreneurs, from Jeff Bezos to Kim Kardashian.

Also on the science front is the upcoming two-part special Asteroid Rush, which looks at the possibility of a “killer asteroid” hitting Earth and what can be done to prevent it. Ancient Earth: Dinosaurs of the South Pole, the latest in Curiosity’s award-winning Ancient Earth series,  follows an expedition to the continent looking for remains of prehistoric creatures.

Curiosity will also premiere Oops I Changed the World (pictured) in 2022, a quirky 15-part series about how accidental and surprise inventions transformed the world, like how a broken thermometer led to a scientist creating the first ever photograph, or how plastic owes its invention to a cut finger.

In the history category is the three-part Celts: The Untold Story, which uncovers the previously unknown history of a people who left no written record, but communicated their past through song and story and who became aristocrats of the ancient world. The six-part Impossible Escapes: The Civil War looks at some of the most desperate and daring stories of escape and survival that America has ever seen.

Also on Curiosity’s slate are new seasons of Doug to the Rescue, Engineering the Future, Rescued Chimpanzees of the Congo with Jane Goodall and 4th and Forever.

“We’re ecstatic to be able to offer Curiosity Stream viewers an original programming slate of this magnitude and caliber — especially in the midst of a pandemic,” said Rob Burk, head of original content for Curiosity, in a release. “The increasing number of tentpole original series and feature docs we’ve been investing in are really beginning to bear fruit now, and we couldn’t be prouder of the results. From exploring the greatest secrets of the cosmos to probing the psychology of the world’s most notorious con artists, our global production partners have continued to entertain and inspire us with a dazzling display of groundbreaking factual content.”
