Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has announced the premieres of three reality series this summer: The One That Got Away, Forever Summer: Hamptons and Cosmic Love. All three shows will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Dropping first is The One That Got Away (pictured), all 10 episodes of which will be available via Prime Video on June 24. The “experimental” dating series finds six people seeking a soulmate given the chance to explore a lifetime of missed connections as, one by one, people from their past enter through “The Portal” to surprise them and take their shot at love.
The One That Got Away is produced by Amazon Studios and Fulwell 73. Elan Gale (FBoy Island) is executive producer and showrunner, with Gabe Turner and Caroline Roseman serving as executive producers for Fulwell 73.
Launching in July, with all eight episodes hitting Prime Video at once, Forever Summer: Hamptons is a coming-of-age docusoap that follows a group of college kids from various backgrounds as they work at a seaside restaurant in the Hamptons by day and tear up the town by night, testing friendships and exploring love.
Forever Summer: Hamptons is produced by Amazon Studios and Haymaker East. The series is executive produced by Lynne Spillman, along with Aaron Rothman, Josh Halpert and Jesse Light for Haymaker East, and Jessica Chesler and Morgan Miller.
Last up is the August drop of all 10 episodes of Cosmic Love, a unique hybrid of social experiment and dating show in which four people attempt to find their perfect mate via astrological matchmaking. Their romantic adventures will take place at a retreat run by a mystical guide, the Astro Chamber (voiced by actress Cree Summer), where they’ll mingle, match, date, eliminate, and potentially marry their match based solely on signs from the stars.
Cosmic Love is produced by Amazon Studios and Hudsun Media. Jess Castro serves as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers are Michael Rourke for Hudsun Media, Hashim Williams and Nathan Coyle, as well as Viki Cacciatore. The series was developed by Hudsun Media, and will also have a localized version filmed in France.
