UKTV’s factual entertainment channel W has commissioned a new series, The Beauty Rewind Clinic (10 x 60 min.), which follows people seeking to reverse their artificial beauty procedures.
The series is hosted by frequent BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky presenter Vick Hope (pictured left) along with Dr. Tijion Esho (pictured right), an expert in non-surgical aesthetic procedures who was previously the resident cosmetic doctor for the Studio Lambert–produced Body Fixers on E4.
In each episode, Esho will provide his guidance and expertise to the show participants as they decide which changes they want to make to their faces and bodies, while Hope will accompany them on every step of their journey back to their more natural selves.
“We’re so pleased to be bringing a brand-new series to W that taps into the real-world trend of reversing cosmetic procedures,” said UKTV commissioning editor Kirsty Hanson. “What we hope is [that] this series will help women embrace their authentic selves and finally eschew the pressures that social media places on us all.”
The Beauty Rewind Clinic is produced for UKTV and W by UK prodco Whisper. Hanson commissioned the series along with Hilary Rosen, deputy director of commissioning and head of factual and factual entertainment, and it was ordered by Adam Collings, channel director for W. Richard Watsham is director of commissioning for UKTV, and Steve North is genre general manager, comedy and entertainment. For Whisper, the series executive producer is Helen Warner.
