Fox is adding a new unscripted series starring Gordon Ramsay, doubling down on its content from the popular chef, restaurateur and presenter.

The announcement was made by Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier as part of the network’s Upfront presentation on Monday (May 16). Premiere dates will be announced later, the network said.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars is a new competition series that sees the award-winning chef putting down his knives as he looks for the next major food and beverage entrepreneurs. Playing the role of angel investor, Ramsay will put his money where his mouth is by backing the winner of the competition with an investment that will take their idea to the next level. But first, they’ll have to survive Ramsay’s gauntlet of challenges to prove they’ve got the drive, dedication, creativity, passion and talent to be the last entrepreneur standing.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars is produced by Studio Ramsay Global and Fox Alternative Entertainment (FAE). Ramsay executive produces along with Lisa Edwards and Danny Schrader, who also serves as showrunner.

In other Fox unscripted news, the network announced a new multiple-night Lego Masters event, Lego Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular, which pairs celebrities with fan-favorite builders from previous seasons for a series of holiday-themed challenges over four nights.
