Following its recent announcement of the new Blake Shelton/Carson Daly–hosted competition series Barmageddon , NBCUniversal-owned USA Network has unveiled several other new unscripted series for its 2022-23 season.

First up is a pair of docuseries centering on the 2022 NASCAR season. Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane (pictured) follows the Daytona 500 champion both on the track — where he’s working towards a NASCAR Cup Series Championship alongside his best friend and lead tire carrier Paul Swan — and at home with his wife Whitney and one-year-old son Ace.

The half-hour series is produced by Critical Content, with Jenny Daly, Tom Forman, Matthew Pickel, Ken Snow and Eric Timm serving as executive producers. Tim Clark and Matt Summers are EPs for NASCAR.

The 10-episode Race for the Championship takes viewers behind the scenes as the sport’s top drivers and teams compete for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and Championship. The series is produced by NASCAR Productions, with Tim Clark, Matt Summers, Tally Hair and Amy Anderson as executive producers

The outdoor competition series The Chain: Alaska, was also announced. The series sees teams of survival experts compete in a series of grueling challenges while battling the elements in the frozen North in pursuit of the grand prize of $500,000. The series is produced by Original Productions, with Daniel Soiseth serving as showrunner. Soiseth also executive produces along with Jeff Hasler, Brian Lovett and Ernie Avila.

Alaska is also the setting for Winter Watchman, a competition/social experiment series in which four pairs of amateur survivalists are assigned the job of protecting seasonal northern businesses, such as canneries and hunting lodges, during their off months. Weathering a harsh winter while working to protect their respective properties from intruders, wildlife and the elements, each duo has to try to stick it out to spring in order to collect a cash bonus.

Nomadica Films is the prodco behind Winter Watchman, with Dan Bree, Jared McGilliard, John Collin, Dave Clawson and Kurt Tondorf serving as executive producers.

Heading to the somewhat sunnier climes of New Hampshire, Rust Hunters follows the Lingley clan as they continue the multi-generational family business of snagging abandoned, rusted-out autos, then renovating and flipping them.  Rust Hunters is produced by Double Act, with Alistair Cook and Rob Davis as executive producers.

The new series slate is rounded out by Snake in the Grass, hosted by American Idol‘s Bobby Bones. The series is another competition/social experiment format in which four strangers per episode are dropped off in the wild, where they must work together to win a potential $100,000 prize. But to do so, they need to figure out which one of them is the “snake” that is undermining their efforts at every step.

The series is produced by Renegade 83, an eOne company. David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Craig Armstrong, Mike Espinosa and Sam Hargrave are executive producers.
