Julie Pizzi, Bunim/Murray Productions president, joins host Jimmy Fox for the latest episode of the Unscripted and Unprepared podcast.

Pizzi was promoted to the position of company president last year. In her new role, she has continued to oversee The Challenge franchise, and will executive produce a special edition of the series for CBS this summer. She’s also served as an executive producer on Bill Nye Saves the World for Netflix, and worked in development and production on several iterations of The Real World franchise (first for Facebook Watch and now on Paramount+), as well as Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project for Oxygen, and Family or Fiancé for OWN. Pizzi is also an executive producer on Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, a reality series for Amazon Prime that debuted earlier this spring.

The newest episode of Unscripted & Unprepared sees Pizzi discuss taking the reins of Bunim/Murray, the early years of her career working on reality TV at the prodco, the impact of NFTs and the Metaverse on the future of the company’s work, and debating the greatest U.S. reality and unscripted formats.

Produced and hosted by Fox — whose production credits with Main Event Media include CNN’s United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell and Amazon Prime’s Inside Jokes — the Unscripted & Unprepared podcast is presented in partnership with Realscreen. Past episodes of the series have featured major names in unscripted and non-fiction TV including Painless Productions founder Jim Casey, producer Jesse Collins, WarnerMedia exec Corie Henson, Vice Studios U.S. head Danny Gabai, Audio Up CEO Jared Gutstadt, Roku alternative content head Brian Tannenbaum and many more.

The new episode, as well as the full archive of past episodes, is available on Stitcher, Podbean, SpotifyApple, and other platforms.
