Big City TV, the LA-based prodco headed by veteran unscripted executive Lori Rothschild Ansaldi, has announced a partnership with comedian and TV personality Brian Dunkleman to develop a new format.

The new docu-comedy format, titled I Sh!t the Bed with Brian Dunkleman, will follow the comedian in real time as he reflects upon his life and career choices, including his decision to leave American Idol after its hit first season to pursue acting.

“He looks back on his life and career with levity and self-forgiveness because it’s human to make mistakes and then accept, forgive and move on. With I Sh!t the Bed with Brian Dunkleman, we’re reframing Brian’s story, proving that there’s always room for learned lessons, second chances and a path forward,” Big City TV president and CEO Rothschild Ansaldi said in a statement.

Big City TV is part of The Content Group, an Asylum Entertainment Group company. Rothschild Ansaldi and Dunkleman will executive produce the series, along with Steve Michaels and Jodi Flynn from The Content Group.

“I’m very excited to be developing this project with Lori and her amazing team of masterful storytellers,” Dunkleman said in a news release.

“I’m confident that this show will become a huge hit, and I look forward to quitting after the first season.”
