ID is set to premiere a three-part docuseries, Murdaugh Murders: Deadly Dynasty, that explores the alleged crimes of Alex Murdaugh, which sent shockwaves through a South Carolina community.

All three parts will be broadcast back to back on ID on June 19, and will be available to stream the same day on the Discovery+ streaming service. Murdaugh Murders: Deadly Dynasty is the culmination of a week-long strand beginning on June 13, “Bad Dads Week.”

Murdaugh Murders takes viewers through the investigation into a powerful family in South Carolina’s low country region. A fourth-generation family member, Alex Murdaugh, is facing enough criminal charges, ranging from fraud to money laundering, to land him more than 700 years in prison if convicted. Promising to offer a new perspective on the case, the three-part special visits the community for a firsthand look into the tragedies, including the still unsolved murders of Murdaugh’s wife and son, and power dynamics at play.

The series features interviews with those who knew the Murdaughs as well as local journalists, legal experts and investigators who have examined the alleged crimes.

Murdaugh Murders: Deadly Dynasty is produced for ID by Blackfin with executive producers Joe Danisi and Geno McDermott. Thomas Cutler serves as executive producer for ID.
