Dutchess Media, Tomorrowland festival team up for One World TV channel

Dutchess Media, the newly formed content and broadcasting company co-founded by Arun Maljaars and Jefta Lentz, is collaborating with organizers of the Belgian EDM festival Tomorrowland to launch a channel that will broadcast the festival live to Dutch audiences.

One World TV will exclusively broadcast the festival live over the span of three weeks from July 14 to August 3. One World TV will be available from the beginning of July across a range of carriers, including Ziggo, Samsung TV Plus, T-Mobile and Tele2, among others.

The channel is the first of several new channels planned for launch this year from Amsterdam-based Dutchess, which specializes in creating FAST channels as well as producing and distributing content for both its own channels and others’. Company principals include Lentz, who has previously worked in content acquisition for Netherlands telco KPN and serves as the new company’s managing director of business and distribution; Maljaars, who most recently worked with Dubai-based content and tech company MContent as chief content officer and previously served as VP of content and channels for Insight TV,¬†and now takes the post of managing director of content and channels for Dutchess; and Insight TV and ITV Studios Sweden alum Linn Adolfsson, who serves as Dutchess’ creative director.

Amsterdam-based Insight TV had previously aired several projects about the Tomorrowland festival, including the documentary Tomorrowland Through the Eyes of Netsky, in 2021.

“After two years without festivals, Tomorrowland deserves to be shared with a large audience,” said Maljaars in a statement regarding the channel launch. “Through One World TV, people all over the Netherlands can enjoy all the beauty Tomorrowland has to offer.”
