After a multi-year pause due to the pandemic, the “Let’s Get Real” fundraising event held to benefit the Saban Community Clinic in Los Angeles is returning for its fifth edition in August, with Roku Originals head David Eilenberg as this year’s honored unscripted executive.

Eilenberg will be recognized for his professional and philanthropic leadership during the event, to be held on Monday, August 22 at Sant’olina at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

Co-chaired by Hayden Meyer, APA partner, executive vice president and department head of alternative & factual programming, and Eric Hoberman, senior vice president of development at ITV America, the event brings together the unscripted television and film industries with Saban Community Clinic, with the goal of raising awareness and funds in support of the clinic’s comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health services for the most vulnerable residents of Los Angeles.

As vice president and head of Roku Originals, Eilenberg leads the unscripted and scripted original content strategy for Roku’s free ad-supported streaming service, The Roku Channel. Before joining Roku, Eilenberg served as chief creative officer at ITV America, spearheading such series as the multi-Emmy-winning Queer Eye (Netflix), Love Island (CBS and now Peacock in 2022), Hell’s Kitchen (Fox), The Chase (ABC), My Mom, Your Dad (HBO Max) and Rat in the Kitchen (TBS). Prior to ITV, Eilenberg was senior vice president of unscripted development, late night and specials at Turner, and he has also served as head of development and current programming for Mark Burnett Productions.

“We are incredibly proud to honor David this year,” said Meyer. “As a co-chair of ‘Let’s Get Real’ since its inception and a Friends of Saban Community Clinic board member, David understands the impact and vital role the clinic plays in providing access to high-quality healthcare to underserved members of our community.”

The last edition of the event was held in 2019. Past honorees have included the production team of Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, Cris Abrego, Thom Beers and Jonathan Koch.
