Sarah Edwards, SVP of global unscripted entertainment with Sony Pictures Television, has stepped down from her role and left the company, an SPT spokesperson confirmed to Realscreen.

Edwards moved on last month to take a break for family reasons and do consultancy work. She is now advising on global format development and distribution under the company name Edwards Power.

Following this move, Laura St Clair, vice president of TV sales and international production consultancy for SPT, will oversee all of the company’s international unscripted and formats business.

Edwards had worked at SPT since 2011, when she joined as head of international creative development, and had held her most recent role with the company since 2018. Prior to SPT, she served as head of development at Talkback Thames, as well as at the ITV Studios–owned 12 Yard, and was behind the development of such international hits as The Weakest Link, Hole in the Wall and Take Me Out.
