As part of its international expansion drive, Paramount Global has named Pamela Kaufman, formerly president of global consumer products and experiences, to the newly-created role of president and CEO of international markets, global consumer products and experiences.

Reporting to Paramount president and CEO Bob Bakish, Kaufman (pictured) will now expand her portfolio to take over the responsibilities of the outgoing Raffaele Annecchino, who served as president and CEO of Paramount International Networks, studios and streaming. Working closely with the company’s international leadership team, Kaufman will oversee the continued growth of Paramount’s global business, including the progressive rollout of the Paramount+ streaming service and the Pluto TV AVOD platform.

Kaufman has 25 years of experience under the Paramount umbrella, with the majority of her tenure spent at Nickelodeon. Beginning as VP of promotions marketing, she progressively rose to the role of president of consumer products and chief marketing officer for the kids net, serving seven years in the position until she assumed the global consumer products and experiences role at the parent company in late 2021.

Prior to Nickelodeon, Kaufman worked as the VP of promotions for the Turner Broadcasting System, and she has also held positions at marketing firms Equity Marketing and Grey Advertising.

“I am honored to take on this role at such a pivotal time for Paramount’s international business,” said Kaufman in a release announcing the promotion. “I know firsthand the global strength of our brand portfolio, and I look forward to working with Bob [Bakish] and the incredible international team as we continue pursuing our global growth strategy, investing in key partnerships, furthering our push into mobile and digital platforms in new markets, and operating as one team globally.”

After thanking the departing Annecchino “for the critical role he has played in building Paramount’s international business and expanding our global footprint,” Bakish commented that “Pam has been the strategic force behind growing and expanding some of the most iconic global franchises and properties in entertainment. She is a proven and trusted, visionary leader who has transformed our consumer products organization by driving innovation and operating as a global business.

“Pam is uniquely qualified to lead our international business as we expand and diversify our worldwide footprint and accelerate Paramount’s transformation to operating with a truly global approach.”
