A day before its parent company is set to disclose its much-anticipated quarterly earnings report, Warner Bros. Discovery’s UK & Ireland division has announced its senior leadership team, which will be led by new general manager Antonio Ruiz.
Ruiz (pictured), who was appointed to the GM role in June, will helm a team that includes Clare Laycock handling editorial, including local content production, programming and media planning; Katie Coleman on ad sales, including advertising, digital ad sales, sponsorships and sport solutions; Alex Foley taking on insights, strategy and retail planning; Alex Lewis in charge of marketing, creative services, brand partnerships, franchise management, social media and consumer PR; Alison Morris on TV licensing and digital home entertainment distribution; and Rachel Wakley handling retail, consumer products, physical home video, games, supply chain and experiences.
Also shifting is Allan Stenhouse, who is is exiting the UK & Ireland unit to join Warner Bros. Discovery’s international television distribution team, leading marketing and reporting to Robert Blair, president of international television distribution.
Additionally, Simon Downing is leaving the organization after 14 years at Discovery to explore new opportunities. He was most recently SVP head of factual and sport UK.
“Since I became general manager for the UK & Ireland I’ve been focused on defining our strategy and structure, and today I am delighted to announce my new leadership team,” Ruiz said in a release. “Both legacy companies house tremendous talent, which makes me even more excited about the organization we are building for the future as we look to maximize our portfolio of brands, content, products and channels, along with our ambitions to deliver a hugely successful streaming business, in the UK & Ireland.”
