Canadians and Americans honor Black History Month with doc screening

Prom Night in Mississippi and Morgan Freeman are heading to the Canadian Embassy in Washington on February 9 to honor Black History Month. The Canadian documentary, directed by Paul Saltzman, looked at the first racially integrated prom in Charleston, funded by Freeman. The Ambassador of Canada to the United States, Gary Doer, has invited director/producer Saltzman and producer Patricia Aquino to a reception and screening of the film. Members of the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Education and the White House will also be in attendance.
