Channel 4 appoints former UKTV head as CEO

C4 has announced the replacement for Andy Duncan, the CEO who stepped down in November, is David Abraham. Abraham was most recently the head of UKTV, where he was largely responsible for the rebranding of UKTV's 10-channel portfolio with names such as Dave, Watch, Blighty, Eden and Alibi. Prior to that he was general manager and EVP at TLC in the U.S. and head of networks at Discovery Europe in the UK. According to Channel 4's chairman designate, Lord Burns,'He has a track record of success as a chief executive and the right mix of skills to get all parts of Channel 4 working together to unlock our full creative and commercial potential and complete our transition into digital.'
