The Toronto-based imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival closed with many wins and honorable mentions for the National Film Board of Canada. The Alanis Obomsawin Best Documentary Award winner was CBQM. Helmed by Dennis Allen, the doc tells the story of a northern Aboriginal town's radio station. Honorable mention went to Neil Diamond's Reel Injun. Best Short Documentary winner was the animated short How People Got Fire by Daniel Janke and Chris Auchter.
