FremantleMedia has announced the appointment of Saurindra Kumar Barua (Raj) as managing director of FremantleMedia India. Based in Mumbai, Raj will report to FremantleMedia Asia's CEO, Patrick Schult who is based in Singapore. In her new role, Raj will be responsible for building a new team and establishing a production operation to service the Indian market. She will be working closely with other divisions of the FremantleMedia group. Before joining FremantleMedia, Raj was VP and regional chief financial officer (Asia Pac) for Discovery Asia.
