Doc on Japanese gay political candidate opens Out On Screen Film Festival

The film Kanako: Challenging The System, directed by Naomi Hiltz, will open Vancouver's Out On Screen Film Festival on August 22. The doc follows Kanako Otsuji on the campaign trail to become the first gay Japanese Senator. After the film premieres at Out on Screen, a prominent GLBT film fest, the doc will air on OUTTV.
