Founder/CEO, casting director, EP, Ain't That Something Entertainment

Crafting casts that pop for top unscripted series

As founder of Encino-based casting and development company Ain't That Something Entertainment, Solomon has played an instrumental role in casting some of unscripted's biggest recent hits, ranging from occusoaps such as TLC's Dr. Pimple Popper and Bravo's Below Deck, to docusoaps such as The Real Housewives franchise, again for Bravo. For the latter, in 2024, he was tasked with reimagining the casts for the Beverly Hills and Orange County editions, which led to such inspired choices as the addition of actress Jennifer Tilly and former Netflix CMO Bozoma Saint John. What made you want to get into unscripted television?

"Before television, I was an educator in special education, it was at that time where I discovered the transformative power of amplifying every voice—each one a unique story waiting to be heard. For me, it's not just about producing compelling shows; it's about igniting a cultural spark that celebrates authenticity and connection. I aim to shatter old norms and illuminate the stories that truly matter."
