A recent shareholders' meeting of Japan International Broadcasting Inc. has resulted in the election of former NHK chief commentator Hatsuhisa Takashima to the company's board of directors. Takashima will be appointed as president and CEO on September 1, and in February 2009 Japan International Broadcasting is set to launch Japan's first 24-hour all-English broadcasting service.
