Sundance awards announced

The 2009 Sundance Film Festival has come to an end and the jury and audience award winners were announced at the closing awards ceremony. The Grand Jury Prize for U.S. Documentary went to We Live in Public directed by Ondi Timoner and the World Cinema Jury Prize for Documentary went to Rough Aunties directed by Kim Longinotto. The jurors for the U.S. Documentary award were Virginia Madsen, Scott McGehee, Maud Nadler, Mike White and Boaz Yakin and the jurors for the general Documentary Competition were Gillian Armstrong (Australia), Thom Powers (U.S.) and Hubert Sauper (France). The Audience Award for U.S. Documentary went to The Cove by Louis Psihoyos and the World Cinema Audience Award: Documentary went to Afghan Star by Havana Marking.
