FOX has named Morgan Spurlock the director and producer of The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D On Ice documentary special, set to air on January 14. The special will be the finale of a year-long celebration of 20 years of the animated show. Spurlock's doc will explore the cultural impact of The Simpsons, and the press release notes that the special is neither in 3-D, nor is it on ice.
