Sheffield Doc/Fest is giving out two new awards this year, the Sheffield Inspiration Award and the Sheffield Jury Award. The first award recognizes the achievement of a person who has inspired the documentary community, contributed to the impact of documentaries and who has made a lasting contribution to the art of documentary. The Jury Award honors the best documentary in the Doc/Fest 2009 program and will be selected by a panel of renowned film and media professionals. Early bird delegate registration is also now open for Sheffield Doc/Fest 2009.
