Animal Planet promotes Jason R. Carey to VP of production

Jason R. Carey has been promoted to VP of Production at Animal Planet, after serving as an executive producer at the network since 2006 and worked on a number of successful series, like Whale Wars and Jockeys. Carey will report directly to Marjorie Kaplan, president and general manager for Animal Planet Media. He will oversee the network's current series and will work closely with Kaplan and the entire executive team on upcoming content.
