Endemol Group has announced several senior management promotions, including the appointment of chief operating officer Marco Bassetti to president of the group. He will take on a non-executive advisory role and, as part of the Endemol management board, will report to chairman/CEO Ynon Kreiz. The management of Endemol's operating companies around the world will now report directly to Kreiz who now takes on Mr. Bassetti's operational responsibilities. Also, global head of programming Paul Römer will join the Endemol Management Board as chief creative officer, reporting to Kreiz. He will continue to manage Endemol's global creative team and is in charge of further expanding and building on Endemol's porfolio of entertainment properties across all genres including entertainment, reality TV, game shows, comedy and drama. Also, Endemol's chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis' role now also incorporates sports, participation TV, and branded entertainment as well as consumer products and marketing. This is in addition to Toumazis' current responsibilities, which include overseeing Endemol and Southern Star's merged distribution business, headed up by CEO Cathy Payne. 'In today's climate it is more important than ever to have the most effective management structure in place and we couldn't ask for more highly skilled and experienced executives at the forefront of our business,' said Kreiz.
