As part of its 2009 festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest will be partnering with online doc specialist joiningthedocs.tv to bring a selection of the films from the festival to a wider audience. The partnership will see joiningthedocs.tv build a microsite for Doc/Fest's online festival, where each film will get its own page and visitors will be able to watch trailers, purchase films for high-quality streaming, leave comments and, if they're in the industry, contact the producers directly. The video platform used by joiningthedoc.tv will allow filmmakers to monitor the number of times their films have been viewed, how much was watched and what parts of the world they're being viewed from.
