Tigress swipes Five commissioning editor

IMG Media company Tigress Productions has announced that Bethan Corney, former commissioning editor for Five, is joining the company. At Five, Corney was primarily responsible for the channel's natural history programming, and her appointment at Tigress is part of the company's strategy to grow its natural history slate. In the seven years she spent at Five, Corney oversaw over 800 factual productions. Her title at Tigress is currently not announced, but she will be working alongside Dick Colthurst and Kath Moore with a specific responsibility for natural history and coproductions. The appointment follows the announcements that Tigress joined forces with Darlow Smithson Productions and Tigress' MD Andrew Jackson was leaving the company to join the BBC's Natural History Unit. For more information, see the release.
