NHK & Science Channel team for giant squid copro

Science Channel, NHK, NHK Enterprises and Atlantic Productions are teaming up to film the largest-ever international quest for a giant squid. The multimillion dollar expedition to find and study the elusive giant squid will be documented in Giant Squid: Last Mystery of the Deep. The search for the over 30-foot-long squid will be headed by marine biologist Dr. Tsunemi Kubodera. The multi-part special, which will also study other exotic and strange inhabitants of the ocean including the mega-mouth shark and a water creature that resembles a 350 million year old sea serpent, is scheduled to air in 2012.
