Colin Firth on board for UK version of History’s ‘The People Speak’

Actor Colin Firth (A Single Man, Love Actually) will develop the first international format for History's The People Speak in the UK with History (UK) and (out)sider Productions, the show's US producer. Firth is also in discussions to direct and produce. Richard Melman, Channels Director for AETN UK, and Delissa Needham, will serve as exec producers for History (UK), with Anthony Arnove, Chris Moore and Howard Zinn serving as executive producers for (Out)sider Productions. The completed American version, airing on History in the US in Q4, is being distributed internationally by AETN International, which is also handling international format and short form distribution rights.
