Chris Rock and his documentary on black hair culture, Good Hair, won the legal battle against filmmaker Regina Kimbell on Monday. Kimbell was seeking an injunction to keep Good Hair from coming out in theaters. Kimbell claims Rock stole her doc idea, saying she showed her documentary, My Nappy Roots, to Rock in 2007, and she plans to proceed with a lawsuit against Rock and the producers of Good Hair.
