RTS creates new Television Journalism Awards category

The Royal Television Society has launched the Independent Award, a new category for this year's Television Journalism Awards. The new award recognizes the best news coverage created by an independent producer or freelancer for broadcast on TV or online. This is the only category which can be entered directly by independent production companies. The Television Journalism Awards put the spotlight on creative and excellent journalism in UK news and current affairs.
