BBC appoints new head of science

The BBC has appointed a new head of science. Andrew Cohen, current editor of Horizon, has been named head of the BBC Science Unit replacing John Lynch who will be leaving the corporation next year. Cohen has run Horizon since 2005 where he was responsible for overseeing the rebranding and reinvigoration of the strand. Cohen started his career in the BBC Science Unit 14 years ago where he worked on programs such as Brain Story, Edge Of Life and How To Build A Human.
