Pulse Films gets Sky1 HD commission for dance obs-doc

London-based prodco Pulse Films has been commissioned by Sky1 HD to make a 7x60-minute observational documentary series focusing on the Pineapple Dance Studios in London. With Pinapple Dance Studios: Survival of the Fittest, Pulse Films intends to blur the lines between comedy, drama and documentary to create a new style of documentary. The series, filmed entirely in HD, will follow the students, teachers and staff of the dance studio through auditions, rehearsals and performances at the largest dance studio space in Europe. The series is due to debut February 2010.
