FremantleMedia appoints new CEO for Nordic, Eastern Europe and Balkans

FremantleMedia has named Daniela Matei as CEO, Nordic, Eastern Europe and The Balkans.

FremantleMedia has named Daniela Matei as CEO, Nordic, Eastern Europe and The Balkans. Matei will assume this newly created role effective Feb. 1, 2010, which includes overseeing all FremantleMedia’s development and production operations in countries in the Nordic, Eastern European and Balkan regions. The remit covers FremantleMedia’s production companies in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Croatia, and existing format licensing operations in Norway, Russia, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Most recently, Matei served as senior vice president, production and development at Prosieben Sat1 Media AG, and prior to that she was vice president, production for SBS Broadcasting. Matei will report to Simon Spalding, regional CEO, Europe and Asia Pacific.
