DCD reports good year and adds a CEO

DCD Media, the indie TV production and distribution group, has released its fiscal year results, which includes revenue and gross profit increases. The report includes a revenue of £34.5m, up slightly from 2008's £34.0m; gross profit of £8.7m, a significant rise from 2008's £4.9m, and adjusted profit before tax of £2.4m. The production units that fall under DCD Media includes West Park Pictures, a documentary and arts specialist; Prospect Pictures, the factual and formats producer; September Films which produces factual entertainment, documentary and reality series and new addition Matchlight, is a venture between leading Scottish producers specializing in factual programming. DCD Media's distribution is taken care of by DCD Rights. In addition, DCD Media has announced the appointment of David Green as group chief executive officer. Green had previously been holding the position of CCO and acting chief executive since November 2008.
