The Directors Guild of America has announced the nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentaries for 2009. The nominated directors are Sacha Gervasi for Anvil! The Story of Anvil, Mai Iskander for Garbage Dreams, Robert Kenner for Food, Inc., Louie Psihoyos for The Cove, Geoffrey Smith for The English Surgeon and Agnes Varda for The Beaches of Agnes.
