Hot Docs has officially launched its new Doc Library. With a focus on Canadian film, the online library features hundreds of films and videos, free access to full-length features by Canada's leading non-fiction filmmakers. The library, which features docs that have shows at the festival or during Hot Docs monthly doc screening series Doc Soup, also features a number of film-specific educational packages, short films by young filmmakers from Hot Docs' Doc Camp and Doc It! showcase, a selection of NFB titles spanning the 1950s to the 1980s, videos of sessions with key industry professionals, archival City Lights interviews with Brian Linehan and Canadian film personalities, and specially curated selections by partner festivals Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal, imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, Images Festival and Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. Directors featured in the library include Jennifer Baichwal, Allan King, Nettie Wild, Jean-Daniel Lafond, Alan Zweig, Kevin McMahon and Shelley Saywell.
