ITV Studios America to produce U.S. version of ‘Come Dine With Me’

BBC Worldwide Channels has struck a deal with ITV Studios America to produce the U.S. version of Come Dine With Me for its international network of channels. The series, set to debut on BBC America in early 2011, will start production this summer and will run 10x60-mintues. The U.S. version of the format which sees four contestants compete to see who is the best dinner party host, will also air on BBC Lifestyle in Asia, Africa, Poland, Scandinavia and the Middle East and BBC Entertainment in Latin America. BBC America will also air 22 episodes of the original UK version of Come Dine With Me, acquired from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, in primetime this July.
