ITV Studios Global Entertainment has extended its agreement with Compact Media Group allowing the independent rights administrator to represent the distributors international secondary television rights to its back catalog as future IP. About the deal, ITV Studios’ finance director Duncan Walker said in a statement: ‘With a catalog as extensive and deep as ours, the fear is that money is left on the table in the multitude of territories. Compact’s tracking and reporting capabilities give us security in knowing that our IP is in safe hands. Over the years we have seen our revenue grow substantially. This long term extension provides us with regular cash injections that suit our business model from a trusted partner in line with our core principles.’ ITV Studios Global Entertainment distributes to over 3,500 broadcasters and home entertainment partners in more than 350 territories.
