Outright Distribution, the commercial distribution arm of the Shed Media group, has made several sales of the U.S. version of Wall to Wall’s Who Do You Think You Are? across Scandinavia. The sales follow the news that American broadcaster NBC has commissioned a second season, which is currently in production. Sweden’s SVT, Denmark’s DR, Norway’s NRK, Iceland’s 365 and MTV3 in Finland have all acquired the show, while SVT, DR, MTV3 and 365 have also picked up some of the BBC UK episodes. Additionally, SVT has commissioned the third series of its local version, and DR and NRK are both in production on their first local versions. Nordisk Film has optioned the format to produce an original version for the Finnish territory. The Scandinavian broadcasters will air the U.S. version alongside their local versions.
