OWN names Vitale SVP, marketing

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has named Maurizio Vitale, most recently SVP of marketing communications for Discovery Networks EMEA, as SVP, marketing.

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has named Maurizio Vitale, most recently SVP of marketing communications for Discovery Networks EMEA, as SVP, marketing. Reporting to CEO Christina Norman, Vitale will be responsible for all on-air and off-air marketing and promotional opportunities for the net, as well as its brand position and identity. At Discovery Networks EMEA, Vitale was responsible for directing all elements of the brand messaging to over 100 markets in 25 different languages, and developing local campaigns. Prior to that post, he was vice president, creative, MTV Europe Networks.
