Stephen Fry to front linguistic doc for BBC Two

Stephen Fry will be presenting a new linguistic documentary series for BBC Two, Planet Word. The five part series on the origins of language around the world will see Fry travel to places such as Hong Kong, Sydney, Israel, Kenya, Tanzania, Malaysia and Japan to analyze how we use and abuse language. Produced by Sprout Pictures for BBC Two, the series will also look at the evolution of language, from thousands of years ago when man first mastered speech to the web and texting savvy world of today. Planet Word is the latest doc series Fry has hosted for the BBC including Stephen Fry in America for BBC One and Last Chance to See for BBC Two.
