‘MasterChef’ racks up six new format deals

Six more countries have picked up format deals for MasterChef, Shine International announced. India's Star, Israel's Keshet TV, Ukraine's STB, the Netherlands' SBS and Belgium's VTM have format deals with Shine International, while Iceland's Sagafilms has optioned the format. MasterChef India is currently in production in Mumbia, with Bollywood's biggest star Akshay Kumar named as host. This news follows MasterChef's highest rated U.S. debut of the summer, as well as Australia's finale causing the prime ministerial debate to be rescheduled.

India’s Star, Israel’s Keshet TV, Ukraine’s STB, the Netherlands’ SBS and Belgium’s VTM have format deals with Shine International, while Iceland’s Sagafilms has optioned the format.
