The Royal Television Society has announced that Stewart Purvis will give the RTS Fleming Memorial Lecture on November 11. Purvis, the former Ofcom partner, ITN CEO and current professor of television journalism at City University, will deliver a lecture entitled 'Calling Time on Analogue Regulation', which argues that a new Communications Act should introduce fundamental reform and calls for the end of analogue-style content regulation.
