‘Jersey Shore’ top-rated specialty show in Canada for 12-34 demo

CTV-owned MTV Canada has reported that Jersey Shore, closing in on its second season finale on October 21, has become the top-rated Canadian specialty series of 2010, excluding sports programming, in the 12-34 age demo.

CTV-owned MTV Canada has reported that Jersey Shore, closing in on its second season finale on October 21, has become the top-rated Canadian specialty series of 2010, excluding sports programming, in the 12-34 age demo. The average season audience for the MTV series on the Canadian channel to date is 406,500 total viewers, far surpassing the average audience for the sixth season of The Hills with an average 168,700 viewers, according to BBM Canada data. The second season average total audience for Jersey Shore is also up 317% over the first season average, according to CTV.
