On the Trail of Genghis Khan, a 4 x 43-minute mini-series coproduced by Richard Dennison, Australia’s ABC and ZDF in cooperation with ARTE, won the Special Jury Prize at the 22nd International Mountain & Adventure Film Festival in Graz, Austria. The film captures the three-and-a-half year solo journey on horseback undertaken by Tim Cope, in which he retraces the steps taken by the first nomadic horsemen in history, including Genghis Khan. The film was financed by Screen Australia and is distributed by ABC Commercial.
